SALT MAKERS - This type of salt production is a low-cost technology that is known and used in shallow coastal regions throughout Southeast Asia. Let the sea water flowed in the fields at high tide. Over a period of sunny days, the water would evaporate and leave the white salt on the surface. Hundred of workers started collecting the salt, transporting up to the dyke. A worker may transport an average of 1 – 2 tones per day.
